We've had a wonderful start to our February, especially, with our meteorologist visitor Kevin Skarupa. The third grade class at NWS were thrilled to have such a wonderful opportunity to meet with him and discuss how he does his job. Many students seemed surprised to hear about how many different sources of data are used to determine where a storm is, how it will move, and what the strength of it might truly be.
In addition, we have been working hard on a new writing and social studies unit. The excitement is building as Valentines Day, the 100th Day, NWS Winter Olympics, and of course vacation gather closer and closer. Stay tuned for some fun projects and exciting stories from the upcoming weeks!
