Writing- Students worked on Narrative writing during the first semester. They created beautiful winter small moment stories, they took their writing through the entire publishing process. Next up, they'll be focusing on Persuasive writing.
December:
We spent a great deal of our December working on Personal Narrative writing! Students were able to create beautiful stories about a small moment that they cherished. We brainstormed lists of descriptive vocabulary to allow students to explain what they were seeing, hearing, feeling, and more! To top them all off we created beautiful illustrations of ourselves wearing sunglasses that reflected what we were seeing during that small moment. They are now proudly on display outside our classroom!
We began looking at the moral (lesson) of a book. What do authors want us to learn and why is it important? This is going to begin to let us look at non-fiction texts and be great detectives. More to come after the break!
